Chaplains and Military Pastoral Care

A chaplain is a military priest or spiritual guide who serves in the armed forces and provides spiritual care to military personnel. Unlike military commissars, chaplains focus on pastoral support, morale, and religious service rather than political propaganda. In Ukraine, chaplains serve in the army, navy, and other military structures, especially during military conflicts. Their work includes spiritual counseling, conducting religious services, and providing psychological support to military personnel and their families.
