Drilling platforms "Boyko Towers" in the Black Sea
"Boyko Towers" are oil and gas drilling platforms in the Black Sea near the coast of Crimea, seized by Russia in 2014. The name derives from former Ukrainian Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko, who was involved in the procurement of these installations. The platforms were used for gas extraction on the Ukrainian shelf and became a symbol of both Ukraine's energy losses and possible corruption schemes. The tag covers news about military operations, the restoration of control over the towers, and investigations into fraud related to their procurement.
