Air pollution in Ukraine
Air pollution is the emission of chemical substances, solid particles, and other pollutants into the atmosphere that cause harm to human health and the environment. In southern Ukraine, particularly in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson region, the problem of air pollution is associated with industrial emissions, fires, and emergency situations. Monitoring air quality and holding polluting enterprises accountable are important parts of environmental control and public health protection.
