2026 Odessa School Rankings

The ranking of schools in the city of Odesa was compiled based on the results of the 2026 National Multisubject Test (NMT). The ranking also includes institutions of vocational pre-higher and higher education where students pursuing an associate’s degree simultaneously complete their general secondary education.

The primary indicator used to rank the institutions was the ranking score. It was calculated based on the average score obtained by test takers across all NMT subjects, taking into account the total number of tests taken by graduates of each institution. The ranking was compiled by Osvita.ua based on the official results of the 2026 National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT), published by the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment.

At the same time, the compilers of the ranking note that due to the hostilities, some students left their regions and continued their studies online in other regions of Ukraine or abroad. This may have affected the results of certain schools; therefore, it is not advisable to use the ranking as the sole basis for evaluating the performance of a specific school.

In total, 146 schools were included in the 2026 ranking of Odesa schools. Last year, there were 145 on the list.

Four schools from Odesa made it into the top 100 schools in Ukraine this year. Odesa Lyceum No. 117 ranked the highest. It took 14th place in Ukraine and first place in Odesa. Last year, the lyceum was second in the city and 46th in the national ranking. The Richelieu Scientific Lyceum, which topped the Odessa ranking in 2025, came in second in the city and 46th in Ukraine this time around. Also making the top 100 were the Odessa Private Lyceum “Svitloch” (55th place in Ukraine) and the Odessa Lyceum “Azbuka” (95th place).

The composition of the top ten schools in Odesa has changed significantly compared to last year. Remaining in the top 10 are Lyceum No. 117, the Richelieu Lyceum, the “Krok” Private Lyceum, the Primorsky Lyceum, the “Leader” Lyceum, and the “Odessa” International Academic School. Newcomers to the top ten are the “Svitloch,” “Azbuka,” “Nika-M,” and “Black Sea” lyceums. The “Svitloch” Private Lyceum made the biggest leap, rising from 107th place in the 2025 ranking of Odessa schools to third place in 2026. The “Chornomorskyi” Lyceum also significantly improved its ranking—from 24th to 10th place.
