On the morning of August 29, Russian FSB officers detained Zodiya Saliyeva, a veteran of the Crimean Tatar movement in Crimea.
This was reported by the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.
"In the morning in Bakhchisarai, Russian FSB officers broke into the house of Zodiya Saliyeva. Soon after, Zodiya Saliyeva was taken to Simferopol, to the FSB office," - he said.
According to the head of the Mejlis, Salieva is a veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement, the mother of political prisoner Seyran Saliev, who was sentenced by the Russians to 16 years in prison.
"Seyran Saliyev has four minor children. At the time when I am recording this short video, Zodiya Saliyeva is still being held by the Russian FSB," Chubarov said.
According to the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind", Zodiya Saliyeva was visited at 7 am. The occupiers planned to search the house, but the court order contained an incorrect address. Therefore, they did not enter the house, but took away the woman's phone and took her to Simferopol.
Around 3 pm, she was released from the FSB building.
"We arrived at the FSB at 8 a.m. and at 2:45 p.m. I left. They had a conversation with me. They looked at my contacts and who I communicate with. I'm 70 years old, of course, I have many acquaintances," said Zodiya Saliyeva.
The FSB officers took a non-disclosure agreement and seized her cell phone.
Before Zodiya Saliyeva was released by Russian security forces, mothers of Crimean political prisoners and elders came to the FSB building in Simferopol to support her.
Earlier it was reported that in the temporarily occupied Crimea, a court found the founder of the Qirim newspaper guilty of abusing freedom of information.
Also, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Crimean Tatar activists have once again begun to receive "warnings" about organizing mass actions and rallies.
