The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine have signed a number of implementation agreements with the Ministry of Defense of Denmark. They clearly define the projects, as well as the terms of financing and delivery of weapons.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

It is noted that the documents finalize the agreements set out in the Letter of Intent, which was signed in late September in Kyiv. They provide for a number of purchases from Ukrainian defense companies totaling approximately 535 million euros. The sources of funding are the governments of Denmark and Sweden and interest from frozen Russian assets.

"In the context of a full-scale war, the support of our international partners is critical to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. Denmark was the first to start purchasing weapons directly from our defense companies. The "Danish model" of cooperation is not only solidarity, but also determination to support our struggle for freedom and sovereignty," said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Defense Procurement Agency provided Denmark with comprehensive information about the manufacturers, effectiveness of the weapons, production capabilities and compliance with anti-corruption standards.

"As a result of the agreements, Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and equipment, both state-owned and private, will supply the Armed Forces with self-propelled artillery systems, attack drones, anti-tank weapons, and missile weapons," said Hlib Kanevskyi, Director of the Procurement Policy Department.

Thanks to the Danish model, which provides direct financing to manufacturers, Ukraine has already received EUR 50 million. These funds were used to finance the production of Bohdan self-propelled artillery systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
