Intent.Insight: How Belarus has changed in the four years since the protests

The next live TV show from Intent, Intent.Insight, on Tuesday, August 13, will be dedicated to Belarus.

At 18:00 on Intent's YouTube channel, the host and editor-in-chief of Intent , Valeriy Bolgan, will meet with Alina Rudina, a Belarusian media personality who was forced to move to Ukraine, to discuss this issue.

Four years have passed since Lukashenko's regime suppressed protests after the presidential election in Belarus. What does this country look like today? Can it be considered occupied by Russia? Who are the Belarusians fighting for and against Ukraine?

These and other questions will be discussed on the program.

Every week, Intent looks at one problem that worries Ukrainians, raises topical issues and tries to solve specific problems.

For example, the last episode, on August 6, was dedicated to the unpleasant smell that has been bothering Odesa residents for several weeks.

On July 30 , they talked about the renaming of streets and alleys in Odesa, which was implemented by the head of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration, Oleh Kiper.

The live broadcast on Tuesday, July 23, was devoted to Odesa's housing and utilities sector, or rather its problems and development.

On February 16, Vitaliy Matveev, head of the Prozhektor NGO, discussed human rights during the war and how they are observed by the Ukrainian state and citizens.

A week earlier, Valeriy Bolgan discussed the merger of higher education institutions that has been taking place in Ukraine in recent years with Anatoliy Kovalev, rector of the Odesa National Economic University.

On July 2, we talked about the State Emergency Service with Maryna Averina, a spokesperson for the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast.

Before that , the episode was about recruitment and mobilization. We discussed them with Oleh Baidalyuk, a representative of the recruiting center of the 21st separate mechanized brigade .

The previous event was held with the participation of Anatoliy Anisimov, director of the Odesa Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment. They talked about the admission campaign to higher education institutions.

In previous episodes, we talked about Crimea with Fevzi Mamutov, head of the Crimean Tatars of Odesa Region NGO, and "Why is decolonization stalled in Odesa?" with OleksandrHorodylov, a representative of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance.

The topic of the first meeting was" Russia'sWar Crimes Against Ukraine." They talked about recording war crimes in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, why they need to be recorded, who is doing it and how, and what results human rights activists have already achieved. The guest of the studio was Anatoliy Boyko, Chairman of the Board of the UHHRU.
