Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on fuel train leaves occupants' equipment without fuel in Kherson region

The occupation forces in the Kherson region experienced large-scale problems with fuel supplies. Logistical disruptions forced enemy units to save and redistribute fuel manually.

In the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, problems with fuel supplies for Russian troops have been recorded. The pace of supply has dropped sharply: some units have switched to an "economical" mode, and the use of equipment has been limited.
According to the movement, the most acute shortages are experienced by the units of the 337th Air Assault Regiment and their subordinate motorized rifle units, including elements of the 26th Motorized Infantry Division. There are also delays in fuel delivery, discrepancies in schedules and interruptions in refueling armored vehicles and vehicles.
It turned out that the reason for the fuel shortage was a strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on a railroad train with fuel at an oil depot near Hvardiyske in occupied Crimea. The strike on the key logistics hub paralyzed fuel supplies for the southern grouping of Russian troops, in particular for units in the Kherson region.
As a result, the Russian command is forced to manually redistribute the remaining fuel, giving priority to certain areas, while trying to hide the extent of the problems from the personnel.
Also in January, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces conducted precision strikes on enemy logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied territories. In Donetsk region and the occupied Crimea, drones destroyed warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants.
In addition, activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement reported a systematic practice of forced mobilization in the occupied part of Kherson region, in particular in the Genichesk district. According to the underground activists, almost all men receive calls.
Between February 2022 and July 2025, Russia forcibly mobilized 46,327 Ukrainians in the occupied territories. The largest number of conscripts is in Crimea (35,272) and occupied Sevastopol (5,368). There were 5,368 cases of forced mobilization in Donetsk region, 4,650 in Luhansk region, 560 in Zaporizhzhia region, and 478 in Kherson region.
