Over the past day, one person was killed and 23 others were injured in Russian shelling in the Kherson region. Among the injured was a child.
This was reportedby Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
Russian forces targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. They damaged two high-rise buildings, two private homes, a farm building, shuttle buses, and private cars. Three people were injured when a shuttle bus was hit.
Overnight, enemy UAVs struck a warehouse, causing a large-scale fire. There were no casualties.
Russian troops deployed FPV drones, reconnaissance UAVs (including the “Mavic” type), “Molniya”-type strike UAVs, and “Lancet”-type kamikaze drones across the Kherson region.
On July 14, nine people were evacuated from liberated communities in the region.
The day before, the building of the Kherson Regional Museum of Local History was damaged in the center of Kherson as a result of an attack by Russian FPV drones. The strike caused a fire in the technical rooms, which damaged part of the historic interior.
According to the museum, the fire destroyed unique wooden museum display cases from the early 20th century. They were made of natural wood, had been used to display collections for over 120 years, and were eventually intended to become museum exhibits themselves. The museum also noted that thanks to the timely evacuation of the collections, the museum’s exhibits were not damaged.
