The occupiers are preparing Crimea for defense and are transferring resources there

The occupying authorities in Crimea continue to turn the peninsula into a large military base while preparing for possible hostilities. To this end, the Russians are strengthening their defensive lines, increasing their military presence, and expanding their logistics infrastructure.

Journalists noted an increase in training exercises by paramilitary units, the construction of new fortifications, and the preparation of reserves. The occupying administration also continues to recruit local residents into various military structures and training programs.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Kremlin views Crimeanot only as a rear base but as a key military stronghold for maintaining control over the occupied territories in southern Ukraine. Weapons, equipment, and personnel are being concentrated on the peninsula, and infrastructure is being developed to support the army’s needs.
As noted by Krym.Realii, the Russian military is paying increasing attention to defensive measures. This may indicate concerns about the further advance of Ukrainian forces and growing threats to the logistics routes connecting occupied Crimea with the seized territories in southern Ukraine.
At the same time, experts emphasize that the mere fact of building fortifications and conducting exercises does not mean that a specific scenario is inevitable. However, it demonstrates that the Russian command views Crimea as a territory that may need to be actively defended in the future.
Recently, in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region,traffic was blocked onthe bridge connecting Henichesk with the Arabat Spit.
In addition, Ukrainian drones have significantly disrupted the logistics of Russian forces in the south. After two weeks of strikes, freight traffic along the main land route to the temporarily occupied Crimea dropped by 71%, and the Russian command was forced to restrict the transport of military cargo.
