The entire territory of Crimea is now within reach of Ukrainian defense forces

The temporarily occupied Crimea is under 100 percent fire control by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and its entire territory is fully within striking range. Due to the threat of destruction, Russian warships are afraid to venture into the open sea and are forced to launch missiles directly from their bases.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, made these remarks during a live broadcast of the “Yedyni Novyny” news marathon.

He noted that the small missile ship “Askold,” damaged at a shipyard in Crimea, is currently parked under a shelter in Kerch, where it was struck. According to Pletenchuk, the ship has no prospects at this time. 

The spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy also noted that the Russians are not moving their vessels from the port of Novorossiysk to launch sites, as they fully understand that this is risky. 

Over the past three months, all launches have taken place directly from the base. Indeed, this is yet another Russian “innovation” aimed at preserving their fleet of ships and boats. “It’s risky; they understand this perfectly well, and yet they’re willing to take these desperate measures—launching missiles directly from the harbor to avoid going out to sea,” he noted.

Pletenchuk went on to explain that this does not mean the harbor can guarantee 100% protection.

Earlier, the Russian railway carrier “Grand Service Express” temporarily suspended ticket sales to occupied Crimea for most dates in October. The company attributes this to a schedule change and the shift of train service exclusively to daytime hours for safety reasons.
