Satellite images have revealed new damage to the protective barriers near the Crimean bridge. Apparently, the structures could not withstand the powerful storm that hit the Kerch Strait in early January.
This was reported by the Crimean Wind monitoring group, citing satellite imagery.
Breaks were found in the boom barriers near the Crimean bridge. The probable cause of the damage is a powerful storm that passed through the Kerch Strait on January 10 and 11. Strong wind gusts caused trees to fall in Kerch, and ships at anchor in the local port were dislodged from their positions. As a result, the Sanar-14 tanker and the Viktor Taratin motor ship came together uncontrollably and collided with each other.

According to the report, this is not the first time such problems with the boom barriers near the Kerch Bridge have arisen. In April 2025, after stormy weather, the number of barges that formed the protective system around the bridge decreased significantly. While at the end of March there were 17 barges, in mid-April there were only 12 barges left, and another barge was found in a semi-submerged state.
On the night of January 8, units of the Special Operations Forces used FP-2 attack drones to hit targets in Donetsk region and the temporarily occupied peninsula. In Crimea, the Special Operations Forces drones hit a rolling stock with fuel and lubricants on the fuel rack of the oil depot in Hvardiyske.
In addition, a new radar station of Russian troops was spotted in Krasnohvardiysk district, installed to control the airspace and strengthen surveillance of the region due to regular attacks on the aggressor's targets. Ukrainian guerrillas conducted reconnaissance, determined the exact coordinates of the equipment and handed them over to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
