Russian military personnel are disguising themselves as civilians on the Kinburn Peninsula

On the Kinburn Spit, about 2,500 occupiers are trapped without supplies or artillery. The enemy is disguising itself as civilians and hiding among the local population.

Russian troops are stationed in private homes or among destroyed civilian structures. In this way, they are trying to hide from Ukrainian soldiers. Since local residents still remain on the spit, Ukrainian Armed Forces units are strictly prohibited from striking residential areas and attack the enemy only after conducting detailed reconnaissance. 

“If you use a thermal imager at night, it’s much easier to spot them. They also realize that something is likely flying overhead. They’re camouflaging themselves and wearing civilian clothes. There are civilians in the villages here. That’s the problem—we can’t just bomb every building in a row because there are civilians, and there’s a ban on striking them,” said a soldier with the call sign “Major.”

Despite this, we’ve already managed to completely destroy the enemy’s artillery on the spit and cut off their supply routes for ammunition, fuel, and food.

Currently, the Russians have retreated and withdrawn behind Heroiske. It is now impossible to resupply the troops they are sending deeper into the Kinburn Spit. This location has become a trap for the occupiers. 

Earlier, the Russians attempted to bring in reinforcements to the spit from the Melitopol direction, but each time they suffered losses at the hands of the Defense Forces. In particular, the occupiers tried to bring in and hide eight vehicles, but all of them were destroyed.
