Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters demolished in Sevastopol after Ukrainian attack

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian occupiers have begun dismantling the headquarters building of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The building was actually destroyed back in September 2023 as a result of an accurate strike by Storm Shadow missiles.
This was reported by the Crimean Wind resource.
Despite the invaders' continued attempts to conceal the real state of the facility, the building's structures were recognized as unrecoverable. Special equipment is currently working at the site to dismantle the remains of what was once the main control center of the Russian fleet on the peninsula.
Two missiles hit the facility on September 22, 2023, after which the military stopped operating the building. It is worth noting that the building had significant historical value. It is located on the site of the palace of the Black Sea Fleet Commander, built in 1900 by architect V. A. Feldman. After the Second World War, which completely destroyed the first building, a new headquarters in strict laconic forms was built in 1958.
During the Soviet and Ukrainian periods, the building underwent only major repairs, which allowed it to be preserved as an architectural monument. Until 2014, Russia leased the building under bilateral agreements with Ukraine, and experts did not carry out significant alterations in order not to disturb the historical ensemble of the city center. Now, due to the aggression of the Russian Federation, the symbol of the naval administration has turned into construction waste.
Guerrillas conducted reconnaissance of the main repair base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in occupied Sevastopol. The collected information on the activities of the facility and its management was passed on to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the movement, the agents examined the territory of the 13th ship repair plant of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, located in Kilen Bay. The facility is a key element of the fleet's military-industrial infrastructure, as it is where warships, including their electronic weapons, are repaired, modernized and maintained.
