The monitoring group of the Black Sea Institute for Strategic Studies and the BlackSeaNews editorial board, based on the results of their own monitoring, published a database "Russian Missile Attacks and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Attacks on the Ports of Greater Odesa in 2025".
According to the researchers, in January-December 2025, the Russian armed forces carried out at least 184 attacks with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles of various types on the ports of Greater Odesa, ports in the south of Odesa region, and the energy and industrial infrastructure of Odesa region.
In January-December 2025, the Russians carried out at least 184 attacks in total: December - 32; November - 29; October - 16; September - 11; August - 10; July - 9; June - 13; May - 11; April - 11; March - 14; February - 14; January - seven.
There were at least 51 attacks with missiles of various types, 145 attacks by attack drones and imitators, and four attacks by small unmanned boats.
Over the year, the ports and infrastructure of the region were hit by:
- 61 Iskander and Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic and cruise missiles.
- Five X-59/X-69 cruise missiles.
- 12 X-31P anti-radar missiles.
- Four Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles.
- Four Oniks anti-ship missiles.
- Three X-22 cruise missiles.
- Three Banderol cruise missiles.
- 38 long-range guided aerial bombs.
- Two X-47M2 Kinzhal missiles.
- Five small unmanned boats.
- 1.6 thousand attack drones of various types. It can be estimated that in December, the Russian Armed Forces used at least 400 attack drones in attacks on Odesa region.
The number of attack drones involved in the attacks, according to experts, is not accurately recorded, but is constantly increasing. Starting in the third quarter, there was a serial increase in the number of drone attacks and the drones involved (several dozen drones in one attack).
In December, the number of attacks reached 31, both by drones and in combination with missiles, the highest monthly figure for the year. The practice of double attacks during the day (night and day, morning and evening, etc.) continued.
