Over the four years of war, air raid alarms in southern Ukraine have sounded 11,000 times

Air raid alarms in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions were sounded a total of 11,215 times during the four years of the full-scale invasion.
According to the air-alarms.in.ua service, in all three regions, the day of the week when the alarm was most often raised was Wednesday.
The highest number of air raid alarms was heard in Mykolaiv region - 4,196 times from February 24, 2022, to February 23, 2026. The longest time residents of the region had to stay in shelters was on August 20, 2024, when the alarm sounded for 9 hours and 53 minutes. The last time the alarm sounded was on February 23, 2026 and lasted 22 minutes.
The morning attack by Russian troops on Mykolaiv on February 22, 2026, damaged energy infrastructure facilities. The occupiers used Shahed-type attack drones, which led to large-scale blackouts in the city. According to preliminary data, about 16 thousand subscribers were left without electricity.
Kherson region.
In Kherson region, the number of alarms is slightly lower - 4,161. The longest was the one on January 25, 2023. Then the residents of the region had to stay in shelters for 14 hours and 45 minutes. The last time the alarm sounded was on February 23, 2026. On February 23, at about 10:00, the occupiers shelled the center of Kherson. A 69-year-old man and woman sustained explosive injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to their torso, arms and legs. They were taken to the hospital.
It should be noted that Mykolaiv region and the part of Kherson region under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently suffering not only from attacks by missiles and drones, but also from the threat of artillery shelling. Thus, in Kherson region, the threat of artillery shelling was recorded 2,777 times, and in Mykolaiv region - 1,458 times. Enemy artillery does not reach Odesa region.
Odesa region
Compared to the other two, Odesa region has been calmer since the beginning of the full-scale invasion: air raid alerts have been sounded here 2,858 times. The longest was on December 20, 2025, when residents of the region stayed in shelters for 11 hours and 33 minutes.
The last time the alarm sounded was on February 23. Two people were killed and three injured in a nighttime attack on Odesa region by the Russian army. Industrial, energy and civilian infrastructure facilities were hit. The attack damaged production and warehouse facilities, administrative buildings, a car dealership, and vehicles. In addition, one of the drones hit an apartment in a high-rise building without detonation.
On the night of February 22, Russia also conducted air strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles in the Odesa region. The strikes caused large areas to catch fire. Rescuers have eliminated all the fires so far. No one was killed or injured.
According to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, the city has experienced almost two hundred enemy attacks in four years, and 145 citizens, including 10 children, have been killed.
