In the Kherson region, Russian paratroopers looted stores, stealing more than a million

During the occupation of the Beryslav District in the Kherson Region, two soldiers from the Russian Federation’s 11th Brigade, according to the investigation, looted local stores. The value of the stolen property amounted to 1.33 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The individuals in question are Artemiy Perelyaev and Yevgeniy Zaitsev. Both have been charged in absentia.
According to the investigation, on June 14, 2022, six soldiers from the Russian Federation’s 11th Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade broke into a home appliance store in the Beryslav district.
They broke down the door, then carried out the merchandise and loaded it into a “Tiger” armored vehicle marked with a “Z.”
Yevgeny Zaitsev was among the soldiers. According to investigators, he took 1,100 hryvnias that he found in a box under a table. Along with the other soldiers, he also took electric kettles, a multicooker, a vacuum cleaner, and an angle grinder.
About half an hour later, Zaitsev returned to the stores. This time, according to investigators, he was accompanied by Artemiy Perelyaev —the deputy platoon commander and gun commander of the 11th Brigade.
The soldiers took another angle grinder, two blender sets, a stovetop, headphones, and a microwave oven. They then broke into a neighboring grocery store through a window and stole 1,300 hryvnias from there.
According to the investigation, they robbed several other retail outlets that same day. Refrigerators, televisions, stoves, and other property were stolen from the stores.
The total amount of damages, according to law enforcement, is approximately 1.33 million hryvnias.
Perelyaev died in Ukraine on May 26, 2025. According to IRS-South, he was buried in Ulan-Ude in June of that year.
