Over the past day, the occupiers shelled Kherson and the Kherson region. Fourteen people were wounded as a result of the shelling.
This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The enemy shelled social infrastructure and residential neighborhoods. In the region, 6 high-rise buildings and 13 private homes were damaged. The occupiers also destroyed a store and private vehicles.
Overnight, in one of the city’s districts, a fire broke out in an apartment on the 6th floor of a 9-story residential building after it was struck by an enemy FPV drone. Rescue workers extinguished the fire while facing the risk of a follow-up strike.
Oleksandr Prokudin also reported that 20 people were evacuated yesterday from liberated communities in the region.
The day before, as a result of an enemy attack on more than 20 settlements in the Kherson region, three people were killed and 19 were wounded. The occupiers targeted critical and social infrastructure. They damaged six high-rise buildings and 40 private homes. The occupiers also damaged an administrative building, a gas pipeline, utility structures, and private vehicles.
On August 13, in the Odesa region, an 18-year-old girl was wounded as a result of an attack by a rocket-powered UAV. She is in critical condition.
On August 13, a Russian “Shahed” jet-powered UAV also struck the Odesa–Dnipro passenger train with precision. The train driver and his assistant were killed when the UAV hit the locomotive. There was also another strike—on a diesel locomotive that was performing shunting operations.
