In several coastal areas of Kherson and nearby villages, efforts to restore electricity and water service have been unsuccessful. Humanitarian aid was delivered to local residents during a temporary lull in the fighting.

Mykhailo Lynetskyi, first deputy head of the Kherson City Military Administration, reportedthis on the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel.

He noted that it has not been possible to restore utilities in the coastal part of Kherson, the Sadivskyi and Antonivskyi starosta districts, and the Korabel neighborhood due to the danger posed to repair crews.

Lynetskyi explained that the Korabel neighborhood has no gas or electricity at all, and water is being supplied only partially using alternative power sources at wells operated by the local utility company.

“After the destruction of the stronghold, unfortunately, it became impossible to deliver necessary aid there or for people to remain in a place where they could receive all necessary services,” said the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

At the same time, he noted that during a temporary lull in the fighting, fuel, food, hygiene supplies, and medicine were successfully delivered to the neighborhood.

Myzailo Lynetskyi also noted that most of the community’s territory has access to water supply, sewage systems, and electricity.
