On February 6, employees of one of Odesa's territorial centers for recruitment and social support detained a man who called himself Vyacheslav Hraciyotov on the street and shoved him into a car.

This was reported by a number of telegram channels with reference to eyewitnesses.

According to the eyewitnesses, the man was riding a moped when he was stopped by the military and before being forced into the car, he only managed to say his name, ask his wife to be informed that he was taken to the TCC and that the mobbed be not left on the street.

Vyacheslav Graciotov is known in Odesa for stabbing one of the guys who attacked him and his girlfriend on Soborna Square in the center of Odesa in 2010. The guys were targeting the couple because of Viacheslav's hairstyle, which at the time was long. One of the attackers later died of his wounds.

After the fight, Graciotov spent 9 days in jail, but thanks to pressure from the media and public figures, he was released on his own recognizance.

Initially, a case was opened against the guy for inflicting grievous bodily harm that resulted in the death of a person. But it was soon reclassified to intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm in case of exceeding the limits of self-defense.

In turn, a criminal case was opened against Yevhen Savko , the surviving attacker, for hooliganism, and he received a 2-year suspended sentence. And the trial in the case of Graciotov lasted for seven years.

In 2014, the prosecutor's office dropped the charges against Graciotov, and the trial continued without the participation of the prosecutor. After that, the case was closed, but the hooligan's relatives filed an appeal and it was reopened. The hearings began again, and the prosecutor reappeared in the case.

In January 2017, the prosecutor's office again dropped the charges against Graciotov, and on May 10, 2017, he was finally acquitted.

However, during the years he spent under investigation and in court, proving his innocence, he suffered enormous psychological trauma and moral suffering. The above-mentioned moral suffering was caused by the actions of the bodies of inquiry, pre-trial investigation, prosecutor's office and court.

In connection with the above circumstances, Vyacheslav Graciotov filed a lawsuit with the Malynovskyi Court of Odesa, in which he requested to recover from the state budget through the State Treasury Service of Ukraine compensation for non-pecuniary damage caused to him by the illegal actions of the inquiry, pre-trial investigation and court in the amount of UAH 2 million and court costs.
