Almost 20,000 households were left without electricity supply as a result of a nighttime Russian attack in Odesa.
According to the press service of DTEK Odesa Power Grids, as of 10 a.m., electricity supply was restored to 3,000 households.
However, another 16,700 families in Prymorsky, Khadzhibey and Kyiv districts of the city remained without electricity.
"The consequences of the shelling are very complicated and the repair work will take time to bring the equipment back to working order. Our crews started emergency repairs after receiving permission from rescuers and the military. The specialists are inspecting the equipment, dismantling the rubble and then repairing it," DTEK said.
Meanwhile, the acting mayor of Odesa, Igor Koval, signed a decree declaring April 6 as the Day of Mourning for those killed in the Russian attack at night.
During the night, Russians once again massively attacked Odesa. Three people have been killed - a 53-year-old and a 30-year-old woman, as well as a two-and-a-half-year-old girl. Another 14 citizens were injured. Among them are three children: A seven-month-old boy, a two-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy, as well as four women aged 21-64, including a young pregnant woman, and six men aged 18-65. All the injured people were hospitalized.
According to the Air Force Command, on the night of April 6, starting at 18:00 on April 5, the Russians attacked with 141 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass and other types of drones - about 80 of them were Shahed.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense managed to neutralize 114 enemy UAVs. There were 26 strike UAVs hit at 17 locations, and the downed UAVs fell at 13 locations.
