Over the past day, Kherson region was under intense shelling by Russian occupation forces. According to official reports, four civilians were killed in the attacks, and five others were injured of varying severity.

This was reported on social media by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Dozens of communities in the Kherson region were under intense fire from the Russian occupiers. The enemy used drones, aircraft and artillery to strike residential areas. The shelling was recorded in Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Molodizhne, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Ivanivka, Bilozerka, Veletynske, Dniprovske, Zorivka, Kizomys, Rozlyv, Romashkove, Beryslav, Zmiyivka, Shlyakhove, Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Chervone, Dudchany, Novokaira, Nova Kamyanka, Tyahyntsi, Lviv, Novoraysk, Monastyrske, Chervonyi Mayak, Vesele and Kherson itself.

As a result of the attack, four civilians were killed and five others sustained injuries of varying severity. In addition to human casualties, significant damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded. In particular, five multi-storey buildings, six private houses and one civilian car were damaged.

As a reminder, in February, Russian troops targeted the buildings of Kherson State University. After the shelling of the main building on February 16, the next day the fifth building of the university came under attack.

In the main building, classrooms and laboratories, where future teachers of physics, mathematics and computer science had been trained for many years, were severely damaged. The next day, the fifth building, which housed the faculties of philology, journalism, history, psychology and social work, came under fire.

KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky, commenting on the latest attacks on the institution, emphasized that the aggressor systematically destroys educational sites in the city, trying to leave the community without access to knowledge.
