Enemy troops attack the Cathedral in Kherson

The Holy Spirit Cathedral in Kherson came under enemy attack. Along with the church, the shelling hit residential buildings and infrastructure, turning another day into a chain of destruction and tragedies for civilians.
According to the press service of the National Police in the Kherson region, during the day the right bank of the region was subjected to intense shelling with the use of artillery, mortars and drones of various types.

Kherson and dozens of settlements came under attack. The attacks damaged at least three high-rise buildings, three private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, an administrative building, an enterprise, a church, as well as several cars and outbuildings.
FPV drone strikes remain particularly dangerous. In Shevchenkivka, a 56-year-old man was injured in such an attack, suffering from concussion and a shoulder injury. In Dariivka and Komyshany, enemy drones hit residential buildings, causing destruction.

Separately, artillery shelling was recorded on the border of the Central and Korabelny districts of Kherson. Residential buildings, a factory, a cathedral, transport and outbuildings were damaged there.
Also, the press service of the Kherson Diocese of the UOC reported that during the shelling on April 26, the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Kherson was heavily damaged - two shells hit the roof, causing a fire and damaging the central altar. Buildings on the territory of the church were also damaged, but there were no casualties.

In the Pivdennyi district, artillery damaged an administrative building, and in the Dniprovskyi district, a car was damaged by a drone explosive drop.
Meanwhile, a 69-year-old woman who was seriously injured in a drone attack on April 25 in Sadove died in a hospital. Doctors also treated two other victims of previous attacks, who were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds to their legs.

All emergency services were working at the sites of the attacks. In total, the police processed more than two hundred appeals from citizens and opened eight criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes.
The day before, an enemy attack damaged a multi-storey building, two private households, a warehouse, a farm, a gas station, a cell tower, a truck and private cars. Seven people were injured as a result of the Russian aggression.
