A Yalta teacher who helped the occupiers Russify Crimean schools was detained in Kyiv region. A joint operation by the ARC Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine exposed the collaborator, who was involved in the implementation of Russian 'educational standards' on the peninsula. Now she faces criminal liability.
This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The woman, who has pedagogical experience, has been organizing education according to Russian standards since 2014, and in 2023 she voluntarily headed one of the secondary schools in Yalta. As a 'director', the suspect personally approved curricula in accordance with the requirements of the aggressor country. In addition to administrative work, she was actively involved in the ideological processing of children: she involved schoolchildren in propaganda campaigns dedicated to the anniversaries of the illegal referendum and the "exploits" of the Russian military.
Despite her active anti-Ukrainian activities, at the end of December 2025, the woman decided to visit her relatives in the government-controlled territory. However, law enforcement officers quickly exposed her in the Kyiv region. During the search, they found Russian passports, equipment and means of communication.
The woman was served a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court has now imposed a pre-trial restraint of two months in custody without the right to be released on bail.
Also, on October 27, 2025, a panel of judges of the Criminal Chamber of the Kyiv Court of Appeal considered an appeal filed by the defense on behalf of the accused Oleksandr Antonenkov. The appeal was against the verdict delivered by the Sviatoshynskyi District Court of Kyiv on June 25, 2024.
According to the said verdict, Oleksandr Antonenkov, a former deputy of the Sevastopol City Council of the VI convocation, was found guilty of committing high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The court found that Antonenkov, ignoring the requirements of the Constitution, voted for the adoption of an illegal decision 'On participation in the all-Crimean referendum' on March 06, 2014 at an extraordinary meeting of the Sevastopol City Council. His actions were aimed at assisting representatives of the Russian Federation in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.
