A Russian-controlled court illegally sentenced a 34-year-old resident of Dzhankoy district to four years in a general regime colony. The reason for the prosecution of the Crimean resident was his publications in the Telegram messenger, in which he allegedly expressed support for the Kerch Bridge blowing up.

This was reported by the Radio Liberty project Krym.Realii.

Russian security forces claim that the man, as the administrator of one of the Telegram channels, published materials that allegedly justified the attacks on the Kerch Bridge. According to Russian state media, the FSB's linguistic expertise considered these posts to contain signs of justifying terrorism.

Currently, the name of the convict and the exact content of his publications remain unknown, as the occupation authorities do not publish full data, and there are no independent comments from the defense in this case. Due to the conditions of occupation and hostilities, it is currently impossible to verify the accuracy of the Russian side's accusations. In addition to the prison term, the Crimean citizen was banned from administering any online resources for two years.

It is worth recalling that the Kerch Bridge, which illegally connects the peninsula with Russia, has been the target of attacks twice. The first explosion occurred in October 2022, and the second operation was carried out by the SBU and the Ukrainian Navy in July 2023 using Sea Baby marine drones. Russian security forces regularly use discussions of these events on social media as a pretext to prosecute criminals under articles on 'extremism' and 'terrorism'.
