A Turkish dry cargo ship that was hit by three missiles sank

After sustaining severe damage from a Russian missile strike a week ago, the Turkish dry cargo ship GOLDEN LEO capsized in the Gulf of Odessa and sank.

This was reported by the publication Dumskaya. 

The vessel was struck by three Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missiles as it was leaving the port on July 19. Ten people were killed in the attack. Eight sailors were successfully evacuated and taken to hospitals in Odesa. Theattacked vesselwas carrying nearly 2,800 metric tons of corn.

Earlier, it was reported that a sailor from the ship, which came under a drone attack while en route to Reni, had died. The deceased was one of three crew members who were hospitalized following the incident.Tudor-Ion Năstăsescu, director of the Tulcea County Medical Center, noted that the man suffered pulmonary complications related to inhalation trauma. The other twoinjured sailors remainhospitalized in the intensive care unit. They are in stable condition, and their lives are not in danger.

In the Mykolaiv region, two civilian vessels and a warehouse were damaged as a result of Russian attacks, and an attack on the Ochakiv community was reported.

On the night of July 24, the Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Christiana B—a vessel transporting coal from the United States to Ukraine—was damaged in Romania’s exclusive economic zone.
