A passenger train conductor working for the Odesa Railways died on the night of March 22 during the evacuation of passengers due to a drone threat.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

The company noted that evacuations are always carried out in case of a threat of a train attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, but this time the conductor was injured by another train heading to its evacuation stop. In addition, one of the passengers sustained moderate injuries.

"A thorough investigation of the accident is underway, and our specialists are already on the scene. We are monitoring the victim's condition and will support him and, of course, the relatives of our colleague," Ukrzaliznytsia said.

According to the Air Force Command, on the night of March 22, Russians attacked Ukraine with 139 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass and other types of attack drones.
