Heavy vehicles can travel on the roads of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions during the curfew.
This was reported by the press center of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety (Ukrtransbezpeka).
However, in Odesa region, there are certain conditions. Drivers must have a special pass issued by the Odesa Regional Military Administration. In turn, the OMA clarified that this step was taken to ensure the transportation of grain, especially from other regions of the country. It is not specified how long this regime will last in Odesa region.
Meanwhile, according to Ukrtransbezpeka, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration temporarily, until September 10, during the prolonged hot weather, allowed heavy vehicles to drive on the roads of Mykolaiv region during the curfew, except in cases of a real threat to human life and safety, the interests of society or the state.
Earlier, Ukrtransbezpeka reported that intensified inspections of freight carriers are underway in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, and over two weeks of raids in the south of the country, inspectors found violations worth more than UAH 6 million.
In July, due to the summer heat, a heat regime was introduced on the roads of Odesa region: trucks weighing more than 24 tons were banned from driving if the air temperature rose above 28 degrees, but there are exceptions. The restrictions did not apply to vehicles used for emergency response and vehicles transporting dangerous, perishable goods, live animals and poultry, military cargo, dual-use goods or property used for defense purposes, etc.
In June, such a regime was also introduced, but due to weather conditions, it is periodically reviewed and reintroduced when necessary.
