Traffic on the Kherson-Mykolaiv highway was restricted due to the high activity of Russian drones. Local residents were urged to refrain from traveling along this route.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration , Oleksandr Prokudin.

According to Prokudin, since August 25, high activity of Russian drones has been observed on the M-14 Kherson-Mykolaiv highway. The enemy is deliberately attacking civilian transport, so the authorities urge citizens not to use this route unless necessary.

The press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration also shared that on the morning of August 26, Russian troops attacked a car on the highway between the villages of Klapaya and Chornobaivka. The attack injured two medical workers - a 47-year-old medical director and a 38-year-old doctor. They received blast injuries, but managed to get to the hospital on their own, where they are currently receiving the necessary assistance.

Russian troops attacked Izmail port with Shaheds. On the night of August 20, Russian troops, continuing the war and invasion of Ukraine, attacked the Izmail region with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles - Shahed kamikaze drones.

According to the press service, despite the active work of the Air Defense Forces, they could not completely avoid hits. The attack damaged port infrastructure facilities. Fires broke out on the territory, and rescuers were called in to extinguish them. One person was injured in the strike and is receiving all necessary medical care.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa region, the strikes caused a large-scale fire at a fuel and energy infrastructure facility. Fifty-four rescuers and 16 vehicles were involved in the response to the attack. A fire train from Ukrzaliznytsia and a local fire brigade also took part in the extinguishing of the fire.
