Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was temporarily stopped without official explanation, prompting speculation of a possible attack by Ukrainian drones. The closure lasted 20 minutes, after which traffic resumed.
This was reported by Kommersant Ukrainian.
On the night of March 24, 2025, traffic on the Crimean Bridge was temporarily suspended. There were no official explanations for the suspension, but the media speculate that it could have been due to an attack by Ukrainian drones from the Black Sea.
The closure of the Crimean bridge lasted about 20 minutes, from 00:53 to 01:12 Moscow time. During this time, traffic was stopped, and people on or near the bridge were urged to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security officers. At 01:12, traffic was resumed, but no official comment was received from the Russian occupation authorities.
The press believes that the cause could be an attack by Ukrainian drones, as it has happened before.
In early March, the Ukrainian resistance movement Atesh successfully carried out a sabotage on the railroad in occupied Crimea. The explosions took place on the night of March 9 near Sevastopol, just before the arrival of a train with ammunition, causing significant losses to Russian logistics. The guerrillas emphasized that they continue to destroy the occupiers' supply lines and called on Ukrainians to join the movement to bring the liberation of Crimea and the whole of Ukraine closer.
The occupiers are also hiding their ships from attacks by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Sevastopol. Usually, these berths are used for decommissioned ships waiting to be scrapped. Currently, there is a small anti-submarine ship of the 1124 M Project Albatross, which has been modernized and included in the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy.
ATES agents also reported the beginning of the withdrawal of some anti-aircraft missile units from the temporarily occupied Crimea to the territory of Russia. Losses of oil depots and logistics centers have reached a critical level, which jeopardizes the supply of fuel for Russian troops, which could negatively affect their combat capabilities at the front.
