Parents of Crimean political prisoners and activists were detained in Moscow a few minutes before the meeting with the Ombudsman. The occupiers took their documents and left the delegates without the opportunity to continue their journey.

This was reported by the press service of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

In the capital of the terrorist country, Russian security forces detained a delegation of Crimean Tatars for the fifth time without any reason. This time, they were stopped in a taxi five minutes before they were supposed to arrive at the office of the Russian Ombudsman and their documents were taken away.

According to one of the participants, they were only five minutes away from the Ombudsman's office when the traffic police stopped the car, took the passports of all passengers and forced the taxi to stop at a gas station. Currently, the delegates remain without documents and are waiting for further actions of the security forces.

Among the detainees are Enver Mustafayev (father of political prisoner Seydamet Mustafayev and father-in-law of Ruslan Asanov), Shukri Seytumerov (father of three political prisoners - Seytumer, Osman and Abdulmejit), Eldar Azizov (elder and father of a political prisoner), driver Emir Menadzhiyev, as well as Raim Hasanov and Refat Emirov. In total, the delegation consists of 16 people: parents of the arrested women, activists, elders and lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov.

Earlier in the night, Russian law enforcement officers had already issued warnings to the members of the delegation about "anti-social behavior." The purpose of the trip was to discuss with the Ombudsman the illegal actions of the occupation forces against Crimean Tatars, in particular the parents of the arrested women - Esma Nimetulayeva, Nasiba Saidova, Elviza Aliyeva and Fevzie Osmanova.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center emphasized that the actions of the Russian security forces are illegal, violate the rights of Crimean Tatars and demonstrate a lack of respect for the legitimate rights of the indigenous people of Ukraine, creating an atmosphere of intimidation and pressure.

Also among the delegation are the parents of four arrested Crimean women - Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova and Fevziye Osmanova. As soon as they set off, they were detained twice on the way and held for more than five and a half hours at the Russian Foreign Ministry in the Khlevensky district. As a result, 16 members of the delegation, who were on their way to meet with the Ombudsman, filed complaints with the Prosecutor General's Office.
