The hottest spots remain near Kamianske, Stepnohirsk and the islands near Kherson. Russian troops have changed their offensive tactics. From now on, they are using experienced attack groups instead of "meat" attacks.

This was stated by Colonel Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Seven attacks took place in the Prydniprovsky sector over the last day alone.

"The situation is the hottest near Kamianske, the fighting is quite fierce, the situation there is tense," noted the spokesman.

Poroshenko refocused on trained sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

"Only professionals work on the islands. One of the Russian reconnaissance brigades is operating there. These are high-level specialists. They carry out assault operations quite professionally, and sometimes it can be very hot," Voloshyn said.

According to him, such groups are also trying to secretly penetrate the rear of Ukrainian positions.

"Remember, last week there was information about Stepnohirsk. Russian subversive reconnaissance groups tried to enter the southern quarters of the city. They are using the most advanced reconnaissance equipment, anti-thermal cloaks and weapons. This is one of the new tactics the enemy is actively using."

The attacks are carried out in a complex manner - first artillery, then aircraft and drones, after which groups of 3-5 people infiltrate the rear.

"They are given water, stores, coordinates. Ammunition and food are dropped from drones. One or two of them can break through and gain a foothold, and then they try to seize our positions."

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflict significant losses on the enemy every day.

"Every day we destroy about 5-7 crews of Russian drones, as well as 50-70 of their hideouts," summarized Vladyslav Voloshyn.
