Russian troops shell residents of Kherson region: one dead and one injured

As of the morning of January 18, 1 person was killed and 5 others were wounded in Kherson region as a result of Russian aggression.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian troops shelled 32 localities in Kherson region, including the city of Kherson, over the past day. Residential areas, critical infrastructure and social facilities were hit. 23 private houses, gas pipelines and garages were damaged.
The shelling killed one person and injured five others.
The air defense forces also shot down one enemy drone, a Shahed-131/136, that attacked the region at night.
Among the affected settlements: Antonivka, Beryslav, Shlyakhove, Stepne, Dudchany, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Sofiyivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Monastyrske, Prydniprovske, and others.
Kherson MVA provided details about the dead and injured. On January 17, a civilian was killed in Antonivka as a result of Russian shelling. The man was at a public transportation stop when the explosion occurred. His identity is currently being established.
Also on January 17, a 50-year-old man from Dniprovsky district of Kherson, who had been seriously injured during a shelling a few days earlier, turned to doctors. Doctors diagnosed him with a mine-blast injury and a closed head injury. The man will undergo outpatient treatment.
Another victim is a 62-year-old resident of Kherson who was attacked by a drone on January 16. He was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury and a shrapnel wound to the head. The man is currently in hospital.
Two elderly people from Bilozerka - a 70-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man - were also hospitalized on January 17. They sustained explosive injuries, contusions and concussions when the enemy shelled their village on January 14.
Recently, a volunteer from Kherson, Iryna Bayrachenko, was killed by a Russian drone. Her schoolgirl daughter Margarita was left without a mother. On January 14, a 56-year-old nurse of a local outpatient clinic was killed in Antonivka, a suburb of Kherson, as a result of Russian shelling.
On January 8, Roman Matviychuk, the head of one of the neighborhood committees of the Korabelny district of Kherson, was killed in Naddnipryanske by a Russian drone attack.
