Russian occupation forces expect a freeze in hostilities. Invaders massively sabotage orders for attacks in Kherson region
This was reported by the Atesh guerrilla movement.
According to them, the military of the 24th and 26th motorized rifle regiments of the Russian army are massively refusing to comply with orders to attack in the Kherson region. The reason for this sabotage is the significant losses among the personnel, many of whom were killed in previous attacks and still remain in the waters of the Dnipro River.
According to the guerrillas, rumors are actively spreading among the Russian military about a possible freeze in hostilities, which further undermines their morale. The soldiers are demoralized and do not want to attack, realizing the risks and high losses.
In addition, the guerrillas note that the boats used to send attack groups are in a catastrophic state. Many of them have repeatedly broken down due to sabotage and diversions. Because of this, the Russian military is trying to avoid being sent to the islands for fear of coming under fire from Ukrainian forces or being left without the possibility of returning.
On March 1, the guerrillas reported significant losses among Russians after a strike on an airfield in Crimea. In particular, some of the injured occupants were hospitalized in Saki, and the seriously wounded were evacuated to Simferopol.
The guerrillas also discovered that the Russians had begun to redeploy their aircraft to inactive airfields. For example, the occupiers are working on runways, repairing buildings and moving military equipment and people to the territory of Zavodske airport in temporarily occupied Simferopol.
Earlier, the Russian military increased the number of air defense systems near key Russian military facilities in occupied Crimea. At the same time, they have weakened the defense of other frontline areas.
