The Russians are regularly shelling Kherson region, attacking peaceful towns and villages with various types of weapons. Houses and civilian infrastructure are being hit by heavy shelling.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, dozens of settlements came under enemy fire and air strikes over the past day, including Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Komyshany, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Chervonyi Mayak and Kherson itself.

The occupants targeted residential areas and social infrastructure. As a result of the attacks, six multi-story buildings, twelve private houses, gas pipelines, agricultural machinery and cars of local residents were damaged.

Unfortunately, the shelling claimed the lives of two people and injured six others.

However, Ukrainian defense forces continue to fight back. During the night attack, the defenders destroyed one Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drone.

Prokudin recently said that Russian drone attacks on Kherson civilians will not stop until the front line is moved at least 20 kilometers away from the city.

According to him, the fight against enemy drones has turned into a real technological confrontation in which both sides are constantly improving their methods. He noted that the Russians are already using fiber-optic-controlled drones, which makes them more difficult to destroy.

"This is a struggle for survival. We are adapting to their technology, and they are adapting to ours. It's a real war of technology, something like Star Wars," Prokudin said in a commentary for Radio Liberty.
