President Zelenskyy has imposed personal sanctions against Kherson actress Ruzhena Rubleva, who supported the "Russian world".
The text of the Decree is published on the website of the President's Office.
According to the signed and published decision of the National Security and Defense Council, Rubleva was deprived of all state awards of Ukraine (indefinitely) and banned from using property, assets on the territory of Ukraine, etc. for 10 years (21 restrictions in total).
Ruzhena Rubleva, former actress of the Mykola Kulish Kherson Academic Music and Drama Theater, People's Artist of Ukraine.
In 2022, the occupation authorities appointed Rubleva to manage two seized Kherson music schools - No. 1 and No. 3. Rubleva also took part in the occupiers' events, including singing at a concert in Moscow on September 30, 2022, and had an impact on shaping public opinion in Kherson, as she was a well-known person.
In August 2023, Rubleva was notified in absentia of being suspected of treason. In 2024, she was found guilty of collaboration and treason. She was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison. Her property, several apartments, was also confiscated. The sentence came into force after the appeal.
Earlier, 11 so-called judges from Crimea, who were directly involved in the persecution of Ukrainian citizens, including representatives of the indigenous people of Ukraine - Crimean Tatars, were sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council. They made decisions in illegal trials aimed at suppressing any resistance to the occupation regime.
The United States also imposed sanctions on a number of Russian figures and Ukrainian collaborators. The updated list includes Natalia Desyatova, who was appointed by the Russians to head the Kherson Regional Art Museum. In addition, Desyatova was in charge of the theft of about 10,000 exhibits from the museum's collection.
