Pensioners were discharged from hospitals in the temporarily occupied Kherson region ahead of schedule

The medical system in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region is in a critical condition due to the lack of qualified personnel. At the same time, the occupation administration is actively using medical institutions for the needs of the Russian invaders, which leads to a reduction in the number of patients among the local population and the seizure of medical supplies in favor of the Russian army.
Such cases were reported by activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement.
Thus, the so-called "optimization" of inpatient treatment has begun in hospitals on the left bank of the Kherson region. According to the activists, the occupation administration ordered medical institutions to reduce the number of patients, especially elderly people with chronic diseases. Pensioners are offered early discharge and continue treatment at home, even if they need care or cannot move independently. Outpatient services are thus freeing up space to accommodate more Russian military personnel.
At the same time, the redistribution of essential medical supplies is taking place. The occupation authorities are transferring most of the bandages, antiseptics and other supplies intended for civilian hospitals to the Russian Guard and military units. Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement note that in this way the occupation administration is probably trying to close the plan to "help the army from the region" because there is not enough funding for it.
A similar situation is observed in the occupied Crimea, where the so-called 'Ministry of Health' of the peninsula sent a letter to the management of the Simferopol Center for Palliative Medicine demanding to contribute to the financing of payments to Russian security forces. Thus, the institution that is supposed to provide support to the terminally ill is actually being used as a resource base to cover the needs of the Russian invaders.
