Paratroopers capture 15 Russian torturers from the occupied Crimea brigade

In the Sumy region, Ukrainian paratroopers captured 15 Russian soldiers, including soldiers of the 810th Brigade from the occupied Crimea. This is a unit that became famous for its cruelty to Ukrainian prisoners and suffered significant losses in the war.
This was reported by the Communications Department of the Command of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian paratroopers, together with adjacent units, captured 15 servicemen of the Russian army in Sumy region.
Most of the prisoners are soldiers of the 810th and 155th separate marine brigades of the Russian army. In particular, the 810th Separate Guards Brigade is based in occupied Sevastopol, in the area of Kozacha Bay. These units are known for their particularly cruel treatment of Ukrainian soldiers in captivity, including the use of torture, psychological pressure and threats.
According to the AFU, the prisoners themselves in their units on the territory of the Russian Federation were also repeatedly subjected to inhuman treatment. After being captured, they were provided with medical and psychological assistance. In the future, they may be involved in the exchange process for Ukrainian servicemen who are still being held by the Russian side.
The 810th Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet has been actively involved in the war against Ukraine since 2014. Its soldiers were seen in the annexation of Crimea, in the fighting in Syria, and after the start of the full-scale invasion - in the battles for Melitopol, Berdiansk, Volnovakha and Mariupol. Some of the soldiers of this brigade were transferred to the Kursk region of the Russian Federation from the captured village of Krynky in the Kherson region.
The scale of the losses of this formation is evidenced by the "Cargo-200" database, which contains information about more than a thousand dead Crimean residents, including dozens of soldiers of the 810th Brigade from Sevastopol.
The journalists also gathered information about at least 18 former members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who betrayed their oath of allegiance after 2014 and died fighting on the side of the Russian occupation army. The article contains their names, biographies and circumstances of their deaths. The authors find particularly shocking the cases when traitors came to the occupied territories to visit the families of their dead comrades and claimed that they would now "protect" them on behalf of Russia.
