Oil depot hit again in occupied Crimea

On the morning of October 29, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The oil depot in the village of Hvardiyske was attacked again. The attack was on the facility, which has not yet been fully restored after the previous attack on October 17, when at least 5 fuel tanks were burned down.

"You will laugh, but it happened again. At 06.26 there was a powerful arrival in the village of Hvardiyske. And the ATAN oil depot is on fire again," the channel wrote.
In addition, the Krymskiy Viter channel reported a possible damage to the Simferopol CHP in the village of Gresovsky, which is part of Simferopol. The channel's subscribers reported seeing a powerful fire in the area.
A photo with a column of thick black smoke rising above the site of the alleged damage was also posted on social media. The geolocation of the photo confirmed that it was taken in the village of Gresovsky, located near the Simferopol airfield. A "drone threat" was announced in the area before the attack.

It is emphasized that the Simferopol CHPP (formerly GRES) has a significant electric capacity (100 MW) and thermal capacity (490.1 Gcal/h). The channel notes: "It looks like there may be problems with electricity and heat supply in Simferopol," as the damage to such a key facility could significantly affect the city's energy supply.
Earlier, it was reported that the Feodosia oil depot in occupied Crimea, a key tank farm and transshipment point for fuel supplies through the port, is currently unfit for repair due to repeated hits by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was stated by Mykhailo Honchar, President of the Center for Global Studies "Strategy XXI". Gonchar estimated that the latest strikes on October 5, 6 and 13 completely disabled the facility. He explained: "Since the tanks were damaged and prolonged burning makes them unrepairable, they are already scrap metal that has undergone thermal deformation. The same goes for the equipment used to pump oil products."
