The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated additional funding to a number of regions, including Odesa region, to eliminate the consequences of shelling and meet the priority needs.

This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

In total, the government has allocated about UAH 1 billion for nine frontline regions and 93 communities. Of this amount, UAH 360 million will go to regional budgets, and another UAH 576.6 million will be allocated to communities located in areas of active or possible hostilities.

In August, the Cabinet of Ministers recognized the territories of 119 communities in Odesa Oblast as combat zones. In particular, the list includes: Odesa, Chornomorsk, Izmail, Zatoka, Karolino-Buhaz, Kilia, Vilkovo, Ovidiopol, and Rozdilna.

Odesa region will receive UAH 40 million, and 43 communities of the region will receive UAH 197.2 million in total.

"The additional funding will allow us to quickly restore damaged infrastructure, enhance security and support the operation of critical enterprises," said Oleg Kiper.

Meanwhile, some of Odesa's buildings remain without electricity supply due to a massive air attack by Russians on December 13. Odesa and the Odesa region have been under attack by Russian missiles and drones throughout the day, resulting in a major power and water cut-off in the city as of the morning of December 13. The attacks began on the night of December 12 and continued intermittently throughout the day on December 13, and continued uninterrupted throughout the night of December 13. About 300 shells were reportedly fired into the region, and the city's water supply was cut off, which was restored in the morning of December 14.
