The air attack on Odesa by Russian troops on the night of March 11 ended with the burning of a children's toy warehouse, a residential building and a fuel tank.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleh Kiper.
More than 100 rescuers, volunteers, firefighters from the National Guard of Ukraine and local fire brigades were eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack. According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured.
However, according to Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, the total area of the fires in the city amounted to 2,780 square meters.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of March 11, 2025 (from 19.00 on March 10), the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 126 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of imitation drones.
Iskander-M and 79 Shahed attack drones and other types of drones were shotdown in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kherson regions. 35 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area.
On the evening of March 7, Odesa also came under another attack from the Russians, who launched Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles into the city. The target was civilian and energy infrastructure.
The attack set fire to a hangar with agricultural machinery, a service station, a car shop, solar panels stacked in an open area, and a four-story industrial building.
At least eight cars burned down. The enemy attack left almost 1,500 local residents without electricity.
On the evening of March 5, the town of Pivdenne came under attack. Two people were injured in the attack, one of them was hospitalized. A private two-story house was heavily damaged, and the windows of an administrative building were also damaged. In addition, one of the energy facilities in the region was damaged.
In the evening of March 4, the strikes damaged the city' s critical infrastructure: part of Odesa was left without electricity, water and heat. Debris from the downed drones damaged private homes in the suburbs of Odesa, causing fires. The drone attack killed retired police colonel Anatoliy Korpan. He was the deputy head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Odesa region.
On March 3, Odesa was also subjected to a large-scale attack by Russian drones. Numerous explosions were heard in the city, and drones circled over residential and industrial areas of the city and suburbs.
