The Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa found a bus driver guilty of interfering with the activities of law enforcement officers and sentenced him to a fine.
This is stated in the court's verdict.
The man has to pay 1.7 thousand hryvnias. The incident occurred in January. Police officers noticed a man smoking at a public transportation stop and decided to check his documents.
It turned out that the 40-year-old man was wanted under Article 210 (Violation of the rules of military registration by conscripts, persons liable for military service, and reservists) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Therefore, the patrol policemen informed him of the need to go to the district territorial center of recruitment and social support for further procedural actions. However, the citizen refused and began to run away.
The man ran into a bus, the driver of which tried to physically obstruct the patrol policemen in detaining him. Taking advantage of the conflict, the man fled. The police called additional crews to resolve the situation. The bus driver was detained for resistance and obstruction and taken to the police station. Investigators registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 342 (resistance to a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, conflicts involving the TCC servicemen continue to occur in Odesa. On February 22, police detained a man who had inflicted bodily harm on a serviceman on Italian Boulevard in Odesa.
Prior to that, on the evening of February 3, Odesa police officers seized the driver from a locked car and first took him to the hospital, and later handed him over to the military of the territorial center for recruitment and social support.
