Occupants shot down their plane over Crimea during an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During a nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones on the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Rashists accidentally shot down their own plane. At the same time, fires broke out at an oil depot and possibly an ammunition depot near Simferopol and its environs.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy , Dmytro Pletenchuk.
During a nighttime drone attack on occupied Crimea, Russian troops accidentally shot down their own plane. Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said that the attacks lasted all night on October 17, and the Russians tried to shoot down the drones, resulting in their plane being destroyed over the peninsula.
According to him, the Rashists repelled the attacks of the Ukrainians, who eventually managed to shoot down their plane.
Also, as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack, a fire broke out at the ATAN gas station in the village of Hvardiyske, Simferopol district. According to the Krymskiy Viter TV channel, the first explosions occurred around 2:40 am, after which the fuel tanks were engulfed in flames.
Pletenchuk emphasized that the outcome "turned out to be doubtful for the occupiers":
"Apparently, there will be even less fuel there today, because the second oil depot has caught fire. Let's hope this work will continue," the spokesman said.
He added that Ukrainian drones continue to strike at logistics and fuel facilities on the peninsula, which creates serious problems for the Russians. The oil depot is owned by Kedr LLC, which controls more than 100 gas stations in Crimea and a fleet of fuel trucks, so the attacks could lead to fuel shortages.

In addition, a possible hit was recorded on an ammunition depot nearby and on a Russian garrison located near the airfield.
At least one main power substation in the Dzhankoy district was preliminarily damaged. On the night of October 13, 2025, an oil terminal in the temporarily occupied Feodosia was attacked again. The strike damaged 16 fuel tanks that had survived the previous shelling, and a large-scale fire broke out on the territory.
In addition, on the night of October 14, Ukrainian forces hit a P-18 radar in Krasnaya Polyana in Crimea, a drone control center in Oleshky in occupied Kherson region, and an ammunition depot near Makiivka in Donetsk region.
