Another local resident will be tried for distributing anti-Ukrainian newspapers in Kherson. The woman was distributing hostile literature in crowded places, such as markets, wholesale bases, etc.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, she was notified of suspicion under three articles.

The investigation found that during the temporary occupation of Kherson, the local resident voluntarily cooperated with the occupiers, actively spreading Kremlin propaganda. From June to September 2022, she distributed the newspaper Naddnepryanska Pravda, which was published by the so-called "military-civilian administration" of Kherson region. The publication justified Russia's armed aggression, denied the occupation of Ukrainian territories, and called for changes in state borders.

The woman handed out propaganda materials in crowded places, such as markets and wholesale bases, thus contributing to the enemy's information warfare.

The prosecutor's office notified her in absentia of suspicion of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), Part 2 of Article 28 (commission of a crime by a group of persons), Part 2 of Article 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful or denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

For these crimes, she faces imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years with possible confiscation of property.

Earlier, Intent wrote that an employee of a utility company will be tried for distributing Russian newspapers in Kherson. The case against her was referred to the court. In the summer of 2022, she received the Naddnepryanska Pravda and Komsomolska Pravda newspapers from the occupation administration. The woman distributed the newspapers among her employees.

The texts contained in the publications justified the aggression of the Russian Federation, called the military invaders "liberators" and presented the seizure of Ukrainian territories as "liberation." The actions of the Ukrainian defenders were portrayed as terrorist.

In addition, the SBU caught the eye of a journalist from Kherson, Yevhen Bilyi, who collaborates with the occupiers and justifies Russian aggression. He was suspected under several articles.
