Kherson District Infrastructure Devastated by Hostilities in 2024

As a result of the hostilities, the infrastructure in Kherson district was severely damaged.

According to Mykhailo Lynetskyi, the head of Kherson district administration, 277 kilometers of roads were destroyed, including 5 km of national roads and 108 km of local roads. In addition, one bridge and 164 kilometers of streets were damaged.

At the same time, in the village of Posad Pokrovske in the Chornobaiv community, which suffered significant damage during the hostilities, 5 km of water pipeline was laid and 128 wells were installed as part of a comprehensive reconstruction project.

The report of the head of the RMA also states that during the hostilities on the right bank of the Kherson region in 2024, 100 agricultural enterprises were saved. In different communities of the district, enterprises continued to operate, including 26 in Chornobaivka, 21 in Muzykivka, and 18 in Darivka. However, 3 enterprises were forced to relocate to other regions of Ukraine, including the eco-farm "Lyman Goat" and the agricultural company "Rodnichok".

Prior to the full-scale invasion, 266 agricultural enterprises operated in the district.

During the day, on February 14, residential buildings, agricultural machinery, and cars were damaged in the Kherson region. One person was killed and ten others were injured. On the morning of February 15, a school in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson came under fire - a shell exploded on the territory of the educational institution. There were no casualties.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells "flew" to the Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.

Also, the Russian occupation forces continue to remotely mine the territory of the Kherson community, posing a deadly threat to local residents.
