At night, the Russian army launched massive strikes in Ukraine, with Odesa, Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions coming under fire. The railway infrastructure suffered the most: a train driver was injured in Odesa, and in the north, train traffic was temporarily suspended due to the attacks.
The Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba reported massive attacks.
In Odesa at night, shelling hit an Ukrzaliznytsia depot. A train driver sustained shrapnel wounds and is being provided with all necessary medical care. Attacks were also recorded on the railway infrastructure of the border communities in the north, in particular in Konotop.

The trains stopped at a safe distance, and as of the morning, all trains continued to move, and the contact network was restored. At the same time, a number of flights to Chernihiv and Sumy are running with delays due to the attack.
Kuleba emphasized that even massive shelling will not be able to stop the work of Ukrainian transportation arteries. According to him, Russia is trying to destroy key elements of Ukraine's resilience - railroads, roads and energy - every day, using weapons with foreign components. The minister called for tougher sanctions and blocking of supply chains.

According to the General Staff, the enemy carried out two missile and 74 air strikes, used five missiles and 162 guided aerial bombs in the past day alone. There were also 4,312 attacks, including 129 from multiple launch rocket systems, and the launch of 5,280 kamikaze drones.
On the night of September 28, Russia attacked the Odesa region again. Unlike the two previous attacks, this time it hit a winery in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. The attack destroyed a workshop and a warehouse of finished products, and a fire broke out, which rescuers quickly extinguished. The roof of a private house nearby was also damaged. According to preliminary information, no one was injured. The winery's work shift - 50 employees - was evacuated.
The same night, Russian troops launched a combined strike against Ukraine, using attack drones as well as air and sea-based missiles.
