In 2022, former city councilor Mykola Yurchuk agreed to the proposal of the illegal authorities of the region and took the position of the so-called "head of the public council of the military-civilian administration of the Beryslav administrative district."
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, while in this position, Yurchuk actively contributed to the implementation of the occupation administration's policies, supported and implemented its decisions. In particular, he organized the distribution of T2 set-top boxes among the local population, which ensured the broadcasting of propaganda TV channels of the aggressor country.
"In addition, he accepted applications for Russian passports, issued documents, collected and transmitted to the occupation administration information on the passport data of persons who applied to him," the statement said.
Therefore, under the procedural supervision of the Beryslav District Prosecutor's Office, the local deputy was served a notice of suspicion in absentia of aiding the aggressor state.
Earlier, the SBU served a notice of suspicion to Oleksandr Bobik, a 68-year-old resident of the village of Burgunka, Beryslav district, who headed a school created by the invaders, threatened fellow villagers and contributed to the introduction of Russian order in the village during the occupation. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, in the summer of 2022, during the Russian occupation of part of Kherson region, Bobik agreed to cooperate with the invaders and headed the "Burgun School" created by them. Prior to that, he worked at the school as a teacher of physical education and defense of the Fatherland.
Also, 43-year-old Oleh Burlakov, a resident of the village of Nova Zburyivka in the Kherson region, was found guilty of high treason for collaborating with the occupation administration. In 2022, he agreed to head a school created by the invaders on the basis of the seized Novozburyivka lyceum, where he had previously taught biology.
