Enemy shells four high-rise buildings in Kherson

During the day, 43 settlements in Kherson region came under fire. The occupants shelled residential areas and infrastructure facilities, injuring three civilians.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
From August 24 to August 25, 2025, 43 settlements of the Kherson region came under enemy attacks from drones and artillery. Among them are Kherson, Beryslav, Chornobaivka, Oleksandrivka, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Kozatske, and Stepanivka.
Russian troops shelled residential areas and critical and social infrastructure. The shelling damaged at least 4 multi-storey buildings and 28 private houses, as well as a gas pipeline, garages and civilian cars.
Three people were injured as a result of the Russian attacks.
On August 24, hostile attacks in Kherson region damaged three private houses and a multi-storey building, as well as critical and social infrastructure, including an educational institution. The shelling killed one person and injured two others, including a child. Around 9 a.m., the Russian army attacked a resident of Kherson with a drone.
The 62-year-old man sustained severe injuries from explosives, including mine-blast trauma, injuries to the maxillofacial area, arm and leg. In addition, a 38-year-old woman who was injured during Russian shelling at night was admitted to the hospital; she was diagnosed with mine-blast trauma and contusion.
During the day, Russian troops shelled the central district of Kherson, damaging three high-rise buildings, shops and a public transport stop. A 76-year-old woman who was in the street was injured during the shelling; she sustained blast and brain injuries and contusion.
Specialists from the Kherson Regional Municipal Emergency and Rescue Service and the Kherson Parks utility company arrived at the scene to carry out priority repairs to the damaged buildings.
On Independence Day, Volodymyr Mykolayenko, the former mayor of Kherson, who was kidnapped in 2022, returned from Russian captivity. Russian troops detained him on April 18, 2022. In November of the same year, Mykolayenko' s whereabouts remained unknown, and later the International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed that he was in Russian captivity.
