From August 8 to 9, 2025, Russian troops launched massive attacks on the Kherson region using drones and artillery, which resulted in the destruction of 36 settlements in the region. The attacks damaged two high-rise buildings, six private houses, a trolley, a private garage, and several cars.

One person was killed and three others were injured, including a child. In particular, in the afternoon in Kherson, an enemy drone hit a 13-year-old boy walking down the street with an explosive device. He suffered blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his leg and arm. The victim was quickly hospitalized and is currently receiving all necessary medical care.

Earlier, during the evacuation of residents of the Korabel neighborhood, the occupiers fired at the evacuation teams, damaging three patrol police cars. According to law enforcement officials, there were no casualties among civilians or law enforcement officers, but the police were removing shell fragments and documenting the consequences of the enemy attacks.
