This morning, one of the key collaborators of the region was attacked in the temporarily occupied Kherson region. Volodymyr Leontyev, chairman of the council of deputies of Nova Kakhovka, was injured as a result of a strike by a Baba Yaga drone (as the Russians call the Vampire drone).

The fact of the pseudo-mayor's injury and hospitalization was confirmed by Volodymyr Saldo, the governor of the occupied part of Kherson region. It is known that the traitor is currently in serious condition and was hospitalized after his car was attacked by a drone.

Vladimir Leontyev, who previously served as the "head" of the occupation administration of Nova Kakhovka, is a convicted fugitive in absence in Ukraine. In March, a Ukrainian court found him guilty of violating the laws and customs of war and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

Leontyev was born on January 22, 1964, in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, but has Ukrainian citizenship and is registered in Kyiv. He finished his military career with the rank of captain, holding the position of deputy for political work in one of the units of the Baikonur State Test Spaceport. After moving to Ukraine, Leontyev worked for a number of companies. His business activities were associated with several companies in Donetsk (NIKA-AVTO, GRATA-2006) and Nova Kakhovka (NK Cottage 2007), which have now ceased to exist.

One of the most well-known stages of his work is his activity at Chumak, where he was in charge of financial matters. It is likely that this was the reason why Leontyev was fired from his job: there is an assumption that he organized an underground workshop in Donetsk to produce counterfeit ketchup and sunflower oil under the Chumak brand. After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Leontyev voluntarily cooperated with the occupation authorities.
